Hiking Holywell - The Tent
When you've got to make a makeshift tent out of twigs and tarp #LifeGet'sReal
I mean...look at that thing
I mean, our lack of effort wasn't totally to blame though. We were working with some twigs and small sticks, when those were finished, we went and broke off some more small limbs off the trees...which was pretty hard, this place is ridiculously humid, all that vegetation is moist and fresh. We'll get back to this. I'll write a more in depth blog about the tent building process, but lets stick to the main story here.
We had to redig those tent holes three times or so, but, we ended up with some..mediocre at best stability, I won't lie, it was pretty bad. Though half way through, Jesse quit and said he's sleeping in the car. What a trooper right? But don't hate on him just yet.
By the time we were finished with the tent, if it wasn't clear before, it was clear now to all (no not really but it should've been) that this tent was not gonna fly, you might as well be sleeping outside, at least your view of the sky wouldn't be obstructed.
Anyways, the tent didn't really have any sides or much of a top, everywhere was open. Here's the kicker, when the question was asked "Who's sleeping in that", it was made very clear that Keena was sleeping in the actual camping tent, not the makeshift, that was for us. Onward to the car!
Next time we'll get started on the hiking, we went on some nice trails and saw some great sights.
